Platform renovation – railway station Zutphen (NL)

Description

The renovation works of the train platform for railway station Zutphen was made with black coloured C 30/37 XF4 concrete with thickness from 30 to 70 mm. For better shrinkage behaviour and less early shrinkage cracks the Fibrofor Green (natural fibre product) was used. The distance of the cutting joints is 10 m.

Advantages of Green fibre solution:

• Only 0,6 kg/m³ Green fibre required for brilliant shrinkage behaviour of concrete, means less early shrinkage cracks

• Natural product, means less CO₂ consumption

• Less logistic costs and shorter construction time (replacement of steel)

• No corrosion and thus lower future maintenance cost

• Replace 0,9 kg/m³ polypropylene shrinkage fibres.
