Road construction – Bus lane Maastricht (NL)

Description

New construction of a bus lane for international buses in Maastricht. Hoogmartens B.V. as responsible subcontractor of STRABAG B.V. used Fibrofor Green (natural fibre product) for better shrinkage behaviour and less early shrinkage cracks in the concrete road construction.

Advantages of Green fibre solution:

• Only 0,6 kg/m³ Green fibre required for brilliant shrinkage behaviour of concrete, means less early shrinkage cracks

• Natural product, means less CO₂  consumption

• Less logistic costs and shorter construction time (replacement of steel)

• No corrosion and thus lower future maintenance cost

• Replaces 0,9 kg/m³ polypropylene shrinkage fibres.
