Exploration Tunnel Feldkirch City Tunnel (AT)

Projects

Description

The construction of the 1212-meter-long exploration tunnel Tisis, as part of the Feldkirch City Tunnel project in Austria, was initiated by the Allianz EKS Tisis Jägerbau, Strabag, State of Vorarlberg. To fulfil its safety function after excavation and also as part of the permanent inner shell, macro-fibre reinforced shotcrete with a thickness of approximately 10 to 15 cm is being applied. The construction progress is approximately 30 to 36 meters per week, compared to the originally planned steel reinforced (AQ 50) solution, which was about 25 meters per week. This represents an increase of approximately 30%. We would like to express our gratitude to all project participants for their excellent teamwork.

Advantages of Concrix ES Solution:

  • Faster construction progress
  • Cost reduction (material and labour)
  • More security – no mesh installation for initial protection layer
  • No corrosion – more durability
  • Less CO₂ – environmentally friendlier (EPD certified)
