SiSto Carpeting Tunnel (CH)

Description

The construction of the 2036 m long road safety tunnel Crapteig started 2018 and finished 2022. The use of synthetic fibre reinforced sprayed concrete for the initial protection and for the sprayed permanent inner lining allowed a progress of 24 m/week compared to the originally steel reinforced (mesh) solution with 16 m/week. An increase of 50%. We would like to thank all project participants for the excellent teamwork.
