For industrially used outdoor surfaces and general outdoor surfaces, the steel reinforcement is partially or completely replaced by synthetic fibres. For heavily loaded industrial outdoor surfaces, the use of Concrix SuperFloor or Concrix ES is recommended due to the higher performance requirement of the fibre reinforced concrete. Fibrofor High Grade, on the other hand, is suitable for general outdoor surfaces with lower loads, less severe conditions. The use of the fibres has a positive effect on the plastic shrinkage behavior of the concrete, minimizes shrinkage cracks and also improves the abrasion resistance of the concrete surface. The dosages depend on the conditions of the project. Typically, 1.0 kg/m³ for Fibrofor High Grade and between 2.0 kg/ m³ and 5.0 kg/m³ for Concrix SuperFloor and Concrix ES are recommended. A replacement or reduction of steel reinforcement depends on the application and load.
