Challenge
Due to the time pressure to complete the stadium, solutions for the grandstand elements were sought that would enable completion on schedule.
Solution
Contec Fiber, together with the involved planners and the contracted precast part manufacturer, developed a hybrid solution with prestressed wires and Concrix ES to cover the static and dynamic requirements placed on the grandstand elements. Implementing the solution made timely completion possible, as the Puskás Ferenc National Stadium was designated as the venue for the 2020 European Football Championship.

The synthetic macrofibre Concrix ES was used to construct the grandstand elements, enabling long-term reinforcement thanks to many years of creep tests.
Application
In addition to prestressed steel, the synthetic macrofibre Concrix ES at a dosage of 4.0 kg per m³ of concrete was used to construct the prestressed grandstand elements.
